| Naslov: Beyoncé, Bruno Mars join Coldplay for Super Bowl 50 halftime show Sre Jan 13, 2016 2:04 am | |
| First topic message reminder :All the predictions came true that Beyonce was the one to perform at the Super Bowl 50 alongside Coldplay, which was announced to perform just last month. This will be the 'Run The World' singer's second time to be in the half-time show of the famous football game.
The Guardian reported that Pepsi (the sponsor of the show) confirmed to the Associated Press that Beyonce will have an act at the Levi's Stadium on February 7. It will be remembered that the 34-year-old phenomenal artist first headlined the Super Bowl half-time show in 2013. She was reunited at that time with her Destiny's Child members, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
On the other, Jay-Z, her husband, did not make any appearance with her in spite of the rumors and initial reports that he was a likely collaborator. The two of them have been friends with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for years through his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. That is why speculations were really strong that Beyonce will be Coldplay's guest at the Super Bowl 50, according to Vox.
Beyonce and Martin recently had a collaboration for Coldplay's latest album entitled 'A Head Full of Dreams.' One of its singles named 'Hymn For The Weekend' was where Beyonce got featured. Bleacher Report stated that there is a big chance that this will also be the song that they would be performing on the half-time show.
Aside from Beyonce, Bruno Mars is also joining the club in which he will perform as a special guest. Just like the 'Love On Top' singer, it will also be the second time for the 'Uptown Funk' singer to perform at the said show.
A lot of fans are surely already looking forward to the upcoming acts. The National Football League (NFL) also confirms this as its website stated that the announcement of artists to perform is just the beginning.
"Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is designing a show that will echo elements of the NFL's On the Fifty campaign-honoring the past, recognizing the present and looking ahead to the next 50 years, including other special artists," it added.
As early as now, the lineup already looks promising. Indeed, the upcoming Super Bowl 50 is something to watch out for.
